“They will know us by our love(John 13:34-35). Humanity is very sad today. They are sick, rejected, deprived, poor, discouraged, and lost. They need and desire a refuge of protection, a place they can run to be freed, protected, fed and accepted.

Oasis of Love Full Gospel Church should be just that a gathering of God’s people who understand, forgive, love and accept. – Mark T. Barclay The Church shall be a place where God’s gifts and works are manifested. (1 Corinthians 12:7-10)

The church will not be bound by the tradition of the elders. The church shall be a multi-racial, multicultural body filled with diverse class of worshippers.

Oasis of Love Full Gospel Church  takes responsibility for creating a better tomorrow than today by assisting in the continual improvement of the people under the supervision of our ministry through spiritual application and human stewardship.

Our Beliefs

Affirmation of Faith/Beliefs

WE BELIEVE…

…all scripture was given by inspiration of God, and that these Scriptures are the only rule of faith and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

…in the one true God who has revealed Himself as existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.  (Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22)

…that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, all God and all Man.
(Luke 1:26-35, John 1:1,14,18, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6)

…Christ our Savior died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8, Romans 4:25)

…in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation as Lord to the right hand of the Father, and His literal, physical return the 2nd time for the Church. (John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

…in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ upon the cross by which we obtain the remission of sins through His shed blood.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12-14, Romans 5:11)

…that water baptism is the obedient response to the command of the Lord. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-6)

…in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father for the empowering of the Christian and its accompanying gifts and fruits.
(Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 10:44-46, Galatians 3:14)

…the church is the body of Christ and that Christ gave to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
(Ephesians 4:11-13)

…in the resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment, and life everlasting. (John 3:16, 5:24-27, Mark 9:43-48, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Revelation 20:11-15)

Oasis of Love Doctrine

THE BIBLE – We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and contains on harmonious and sufficiently complete system of doctrine. We believe in the full inspiration of the Word of God. We hold the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert that no other doctrine can be true or essential, if it does not find a place in this Word.

THE TRINITY – We believe there is ONE GOD manifest in THREE Persons. It is not three Gods in one God but rather it is one God in three Persons. The Bible specifically states over and over again that there is only one God. All three Persons of the Godhead are God and Lord Themselves. God the Father is the First Person of the Trinity, His Son Jesus Christ is the Second Person of the Trinity, and the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity.

THE FATHER – We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Author and Creator of all things. The Old Testament reveals God in diverse manners, by manifesting his nature, character and dominions. The New Testament Gospels give us knowledge of God the “Father” or “My Father”, showing relationship of God to Jesus as Father or representing him as the Father in the Godhead and Jesus himself as Son (John 14:20; 15:8). Jesus also gives God the distinction of “Fatherhood” to all believers when he explains God in the light of “Your Father in Heaven”. (Matthew 6:8-9)

THE SON – We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Second Person in the Triune Godhead. We believe that Jesus was and is eternal in his person and nature as the Son of God who was with God in the beginning of creation (John 1:1). We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin called Mary according to the scripture (Matthew 1:18), thus giving rise to our fundamental belief in the Virgin Birth and to all of the miraculous events surrounding the phenomenon (Matthew 1:18-25). We believe Jesus Christ became the “suffering servant” to man; this “suffering servant” came seeking to redeem man from sin and to reconcile him back to God his Father (Romans 5:10). We believe that Jesus Christ is standing now as mediator between God and man. (1Timothy 2:5)

THE HOLY GHOST – We believe the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is the Third Person in the Triune Godhead. The Holy Ghost is of the same substance, equal to power and glory and is together with the Father and the Son to be believed in, obeyed and worshipped. The Holy Ghost is a gift bestowed upon the believer for the purpose of equipping and empowering the believer, making him/her a more effective witness for service in the world. He teaches and guides one into all truth. (John 16:13; Acts 1:8)

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST – We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is an experience subsequent to conversion and sanctification and that tongue-speaking is the consequence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the manifestations of the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 10:46, 19:1-6). We believe that we are not baptized with the Holy Ghost in order to be saved. (John 3:5)

Our Core Values

We desire to be a thriving congregation locally and beyond. This requires a foundational set of values that we build upon while growing and serving together in love. Our core values of being Gospel-Centric, Biblically Sound, having Genuine Worship, being Bold in Faith, and Loving People lead us to a place in christ where we are able to thrive at home, around our community, and beyond.

  • Gospel-Centric: Centering the church on the work of Jesus Christ. “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So, he is first in everything.” Colossians 1:18 NLT
  • Biblically Sound: obeying the authority and teachings of God’s Word. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” 2 Timothy 3:16
  • Genuine Worship: Worshipping God in spirit and truth. “For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
  • Bold in Faith: Asking & expecting great things from God. “Now all glory to God, who is able through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
  • Loving People: Real in our relationships. “Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8
