New Year Fasting

Thank you for joining us for 7 weeks of prayer and fasting. Over the next 7 weeks starting Sunday, January 12th through Saturday, March 1st, we will be corporately and individually praying, fasting and believing to see miracles, signs and wonders take place. We are asking you to choose any three consecutive days within each of these 7 weeks to fast. Such as: Sun-Mon-Tues OR Mon-Tues-Wed OR Wed-Thurs-Fri OR Thurs-Fri-Sat.

As mentioned, corporately we will be praying for miracles, signs and wonders to be realized throughout the ministry. We will also pray for people to meet Jesus and to be planted in His house. Specific daily prayer directives will be outlined later in this devotional. Individually, your prayer should be very detailed concerning what you are yearning from God. Don’t be afraid to be specific. Why are you fasting? Do you need direction, healing, restoration of marriage? Do you have family issues or other relational issues? Are you facing financial difficulties? Once again, don’t be afraid to be specific. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as you pray daily and read the Bible.

We believe these 21 days of prayer and fasting over the 7-week timeframe are going to be instrumental in all that God wants to do this year-in your life personally and throughout all the ministries of Oasis of Love F.G.C.

We encourage you to take part in the 21-Days / 7-Weeks of Fasting and Prayer from Jan.12th – Mar.1st 2025. This will be a season of focused fasting and prayer as a church family. Your personal fast should present a level of challenge / discomfort, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. It’s typical to fast a single meal, a whole day, or various elements of leisure or pleasure for a specified amount of time. We wholeheartedly believe that the length and the element OF your fast are not as important as the strength of your focus on God AS you fast.

Week ONE
Day 1 – For a heart that seeks after God. Isaiah 55:6-7, Isaiah 58:1-14
Day 2 – To choose humility. 2nd Chronicles 7:14, 1st Peter 5:6-9
Day 3 – To develop a lifestyle of prayer. 1st Thessalonians 5:17, Philippians 4:6-7, Matthew 6:7-14

Week TWO
Day 4 – For protection over our Pastors, Staff, and the Oasis of Love Church Family. Psalm 91, Psalm 34:15
Day 5 – To be a church that equips God’s people. Ephesians 4:11-16
Day 6 – For a relevant understandable ministry. 2nd Corinthians 6:3; Isaiah 61:1-3

Week THREE
Day 7 – To rely on the Holy Spirit. John 14:26
Day 8 – To love others with Supernatural Grace. Romans 12:9-10, 21
Day 9 – To conquer strongholds. Psalm 18:34-37; 2nd Corinthians 10:3-5

Week FOUR
Day 10 – For unbelievers visiting our church. Acts 26:18
Day 11 – For new believers in our church. Isaiah 43:18-19
Day 12 – For people to reach out to others and His Will to be done. Matthew 9:37-38

Week FIVE
Day 13 – For authentic community unity. 1st Thessalonians 2:8, Psalm 133:1-3
Day 14 – For our neighbors. Mark 12:31
Day 15 – For our Nation. Psalm 33:12

Week SIX
Day 16 – For our Military Personnel and Law Enforcement officers. Matthew 5:9
Day 17 – For our Elected Officials. 1st Timothy 2:1-3
Day 18 – For Peace and Prosperity of your city. Jeremiah 29:7

Week SEVEN
Day 19 – For the ability to strengthen/encourage yourself when needed. 1st Samuel 30:6, Jude 20
Day 20 – For health and deliverance. Jeremiah 17:14, Psalm 30:2, Luke 4:18, 3rd John 1:2
Day 21 – We keep the mind of Christ. 1st Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 2:5-11

Use The A.C.T.S. Model When Praying

A — ADORATION
Tell God how much you appreciate Him.
This is a great way to begin your prayer time. Tell God how much you appreciate Him. Express your love for Him. Praise His power and majesty. You should never run out of praise.

C — CONFESSION
Tell God where you have fallen short.
Be specific. Thank Him for the forgiveness you have in Christ and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations.

T — THANKSGIVING
Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life.
We have so much to be thankful for. Thank God for His love, His faithfulness, His patience. Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life.

S — SUPPLICATION
Share your desires with God.
Share your desires with God, no matter how big or small they may seem. Nothing is too big or too small for God. He cares about every detail of your life. Pray for your own needs and for the needs of others.

Use S.O.A.P. Model When Studying Scripture

S — SCRIPTURE
Which verse stood out to you?
Open your Bible to your reading for the day. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, and write it in your journal.

O — OBSERVATION
What is God saying to you?
What do you feel God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you.

A — APPLICATION
How can you apply what you’ve studied today?
Personalize what you have read by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P — PRAYER
Ask God to help you use what you’ve learned.
This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or even a prayer for a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two-way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say! Now, write it out.

Our Heavenly Father, if it had not been You on my side, where would I be? Your Grace and Mercy brought me through 2024 and now I have seen the beginning of 2025. I am so thankful, and I appreciate all that You have done for me, my household, the Oasis of Love ministry, members and supporters.

Lord, please forgive me, for at times I have craved for food, things, and pleasures more than you. Help me to lose my desires for that which weakens me. And help me to acquire a taste for that which strengthens me. Help me to enjoy the feast You prepare for me, right in the middle of the battlefield in the presence of my enemies.

As I begin this fast, I humbly come before You, seeking to deepen my relationship with You. Grant me strength and resolve to endure this time of abstinence, allowing my focus to shift fully towards You. Show me what makes me tired. Show me what masters me and slows me down. Keep me from those distractions and temptations. I pray that You use this period to reveal Your will and purpose for my life.

I ask that You Give me a vision for what freedom looks like for me. I pray that my whole life testifies that the God in Heaven knows me by name. SO, may my life display Your power. I ask that You do the impossible in me and through me as You heal me from the inside out! In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

“I DECREE AND DECLARE…”

…As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
...Every single loved one of mine will come into the Kingdom this year. Not one of them shall be lost. Thank You, Lord, that Your love breaks every barrier.
...By the stripes Jesus bore for me, I was healed. And if I was healed, then I am healed. Because He bore my sickness and disease, I do not have to bear it.
...Life, health and strength over my physical body.
...That I will live and declare the glory of God.
...That I have the mind of Christ. My mind shall think clearly. It will not be scattered. I shall have focus and concentration and will not be distracted.
...I shall hear the voice of God more clearly than I ever have before. The Word of the Lord shall be plain to me.
...This year shall be the year of the 7-fold restoration of everything that the enemy has stolen from my life.
...Supernatural creativity over my life: New Ideas, New Inventions, New Businesses, and Heaven’s Wisdom.
...This is a year of divine favor over my life and the year of the open door. I shall walk through into what God has called me to do.
...Supernatural debt cancellation. Thank You, Lord, for revealing Yourself to me as El Shaddai, the God who is More than Enough.
...Open doors, promotions, contracts, sales, jobs, and opportunities. I rebuke stagnation.
...That I will be proactive. I will not procrastinate. I will finish what I started.
...Supernatural strength in my marriage. There shall be no division in my family. One accord, one purpose, one aim, one goal, and one vision.
...I shall walk in the supernatural protection of God as never before. I shall dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of The Almighty.
...That no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I will show to be in the wrong.
...I am anointed with fresh oil. The joy of the Lord will sustain me and be my strength. Out of my belly, the river of God shall flow.
...My eyes shall see what others do not see, and my ears shall hear what others do not hear. I have ACCESS to inside information that comes straight from the throne of God.
...Any areas of my reputation, that have been stolen by the enemy, are being restored, greater than ever before.
…This year the favor of God is strong upon me. Because I am diligent, I will stand before great men.
...This will be a year of the desires of my heart coming to pass, as I delight myself in the Lord.
I pray all these decrees and declarations in Jesus’ Name, It is So…So shall it be. AMEN!
